The course fee is $75, payable by e-transfer to: melissa.hofstra@cyadaze.com

Online access will be provided once payment has been received. Full payment must be received at least 72 hours before the scheduled classroom session. Registrations without payment by the deadline may be cancelled.

Classes require a minimum of three students. If fewer than three students are registered 72 hours before the class, the classroom session may be cancelled. Please indicate the additional dates that would work for you and you will be given priority for these dates.

The online portion is a self-paced learning and assessment experience that includes:

• Learning resources
• Instructional videos
• Activities
• Knowledge checks
• Electronic final exam

After payment is received, students will receive emails from Heart and Stroke confirming registration and access to the online portion.

A minimum score of 84% on the final exam is required before attending the instructor-led classroom session and receiving the course completion card.

The completed online portion remains valid for 90 days.

Online Course Retake

If the second attempt is unsuccessful, the student must retake the BLS blended learning course. An additional $40 fee applies to retake the online course. Please contact the instructor by email or text at least 72 hours before the scheduled classroom session to discuss arrangements.

The classroom portion gives students the opportunity to apply their online learning through hands-on practice, instructor guidance, and skills testing.

Students will participate in:

• Hands-on skills practice
• Instructor coaching
• Debriefing
• Team scenarios
• Comprehensive skills testing

Important Classroom Information

Please arrive on time so you don't miss important course information.

Any student arriving more than 5 minutes late will be denied entry to the classroom session.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on practice. Training may involve:

• Kneeling
• Bending
• Standing
• Lifting

If you have a physical limitation that may affect your participation, please inform the instructor before the course so your needs can be discussed within the course requirements.

If you need to cancel please contact CYA Daze via email or text message. An email from Heart and Stroke will be sent to you once the cancellation has been processed.

If CYA Daze Cancels an instructor-led Session

If the instructor-led session is cancelled because of low registration, alternative dates will be offered. Registered students will receive priority for future sessions.

Student Cancellation

Full refund: A full refund may be considered if the online portion has not been claimed and the cancellation has been processed 72 hours before the instructor-led class time.

Partial Refund: A partial refund may be considered if the online portion has already been claimed and the cancellation has been processed 72 hours before the instructor-led class time.

No refund: Refunds are not available for no‑shows or for cancellations occurring within 72 hours of the instructor-led class time.
